What is HSN/SAC number?
HSN / SAC code is a new concept for all type of businesses in India. This code has been defined for each type of service & product GST Council. Each service & product is known by its HSN/SAC numbers & widely used while filling return.
HSN Code: HSN code or Harmonized System Nomenclature code number is an internationally adopted commodity description and coding system developed by the World Customs Organization (WCO). HSN code is used by more than 200 countries as a basis for their customs tariffs.
SAC Code: SAC or Service Accounting Code is the nomenclature adopted by the GST Council for identifying services delivered under GST. This is similar to the classification that was in existence under the Services Tax regime.
