How to Enter Opening Stock of Products in Borg Desk ERP?

Entering opening stock is essential to start tracking your inventory accurately in Borg Desk ERP. Below is a step-by-step guide on how you can add opening stock for your products.

Steps to Enter Opening Stock in Borg Desk ERP

1️⃣ Navigate to Inventory Module

• Log in to Borg Desk ERP

• Go to Inventory Module

• Click on Stock Management --> Manage Stock-IN

2️⃣ Add Opening Stock Manually

• Click on Plus(+) on Top Right --> To Open Input Form

• Select Supplier / Vendor

• Select Category ( Product/Service)

• Choose the Product Name

• Select Warehouse Details (As per applicable)

• Enter the Opening Stock Quantity

• Date of Receving Stock at Go-Down

• Add the Purchase Price & Total Value (if needed)

• Click on "Add Stock" to Save & Apply

3️⃣ Bulk Upload Opening Stock via Excel (Optional)

If you have multiple products, you can upload the stock in bulk using an Excel Sheet (CSV)

• Download the Opening Stock Excel Template - This template is dnymaic containing many fields (Column) Pre-Filled Like Inv-ID, Product category, Product Name / SKU & Current Date. All other fields have to be filled Manually.

• Fill in the required details: 
  ✅ Vendor ID  ( Find out Vendor ID by downloading Vendor Master in Excel Sheet)
  ✅ Opening Stock Quantity
  ✅ Purchase Prices
  ✅ Warehouse Name (if multiple warehouses exist) -->Borg Desk faciltates to fil all Warehouse IDs ( Location ID, Zone ID, Rack ID & Self ID)
  ✅ Vehicle No.

• Click on Upward Arrow Button to Browse & Upload the Sheet and click "Uplaod File"

4️⃣ Verify Stock in Inventory Dashboard

• Once the stock is added, go to Inventory Dashboard

• Check the updated stock levels under Stock Report

• Make sure all items are entered correctly

5️⃣ Adjust Opening Stock (If Needed)

• If there is any mistake, go to Stock Adjustment

• Modify or correct the stock quantities

• Save changes
