How to setup custom product form or product setup or product attributes or product master as per business requirement in the Borg Desk ERP ?
Borg Desk ERP allows businesses to set product form fields or product master as per their requirements. Borg facilitates 30+ form fields to manage product attributes. Final settings of form allows to upload / import all data at one go nu using excel CSV format & provides listing of the same.
It also facilitates to create duplicate product entries to avoid all fields to be filled at create new similar product. The Product Master in Borg Desk ERP is the central database for managing all products, including raw materials, finished goods, and services. Properly setting up your Product Master ensures smooth inventory tracking, order processing, and reporting.
How to Create Custom fields or product master in the product Form in the Borg Desk Inventory Module ?
Step 1: Access the Product Master
1️⃣ Log in to Borg Desk ERP.
2️⃣ Navigate to Inventory Module → Click on Tool Icon to access Product Master in the inventory module.
3️⃣ Click "Custom Product Form" to start defining a new product custom fields.
Divide details in broadly 3 parts for understanding & Management. There are few standard fields which Borg Desk recommends to keep & maintained with relevant information value, Optional Fields which can be kept or hide & Additional Fields which can be added when needed to maintain addition attributes of products
Step 2: Enter or set basic & standard fields of Products which can not be made hidden or altered

Product Name – Enter the exact name of the product.

SKU Code – Assign a unique Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) for identification.

Barcode (Optional) – Scan or enter a barcode for easy tracking.

Product Category – Select or create a new product category.

Product Sub0Category - Select or create a new product sub-category

Unit of Measurement (UoM) – Define units like Pieces, Kg, Liters, Meters, etc.

HSN Code & GST Compliance – For tax regulations.

MOQ - Minimum Order Quantity

Reorder Level (MSQ - Minimum Shortage Quantity)– Set the minimum stock level to trigger reordering.

Step 6: Add Custom Attributes (If Needed)
Borg Desk ERP allows customization based on business needs:
✔ Color, Size, Material Type – Useful for apparel, manufacturing, and retail.
✔ Batch Number & Expiry Date – Ideal for perishable or regulated items.
✔ Serial Number Tracking – For electronic or high-value products.
To Add a Custom Additional Field:
Set the "Custom Additional Product Form" to YES → Click on Plus Sign (+) in the right corner of box ----> will be landed to new window containing option to add new field ----> Enter Position of Box like ( 1-15) ---> Assign a Field Label (Name) ---> Mark Yes of to be made mandatory otherwise mark it No---> Choose Field Type (Text, Number, Dropdown, etc.) ---> Click on Plus (+) Symbol to add blank field → Click on Update.
You can repeat the same from selecting box position to add fields up to 15.
Step 7: Save & Manage Product Master
✔ Click "Save & Create Another" to add multiple products.
