How to setup warehouse management & connect with Stock & Orders in the module of Inventory, Stock, Order or product module of Borg Desk ERP ?
Setting up Warehouse Masters in Borg Desk ERP helps businesses efficiently manage their inventory across multiple warehouses, track stock levels, and streamline order fulfillment. Follow these steps to configure your warehouse master:
Step 1: Access Warehouse Settings for Enable / Disable Warehouse
1️⃣ Log in to Borg Desk ERP.
2️⃣ Navigate to Inventory Module → Click on Tool Icon on right top
3️⃣ Click on "Enable/Disable Warehouse" to active Warehouse management in Borg ERP.
4️⃣Set YES to enable or Set required to enable & make it mandatory
5️⃣After all desired setting, Click on "Update" to save all changes.
Once Settings for enabling Warehouse done, you need to follow next step to set warehouse Name to generate their Codes. Each layer of warehouse generates its own code & this code is used to upload stock in Manage Stock IN in the Borg Desk ERP
Step 2: Access Warehouse Master in Borg Desk ERP
1️⃣ Log in to Borg Desk ERP.
2️⃣ Navigate to Inventory Module → Click on Manage Warehouse to access Warehouse Master. You will see 5 Layers of Warehousing like Location, Zone, Floor, Rack, Self. you can select anyone of then to set respective master. You can also go for those which you have activated in settings. If you can activated more than one, Start preparing master one by one.
3️⃣ Click on "Add New Warehouse Location or any other as explained above" to create a new warehouse Master entry.
4️⃣ Keep Adding one by one & Finish all which are activated in the Ware house setting.
Step 3: Define Warehouse Details
1️⃣ Warehouse Name – Give a unique name (e.g., "Main Warehouse," "Regional Warehouse").
2️⃣ Warehouse Code – This code will be unique code & will be generated automatically by system.
3️⃣ Contact Person – Enter the contact person name of the warehouse.
4️⃣ Default Warehouse? – No default warehouse, has to be created if needed.
5️⃣ Other contact details – Update respective person details for record like Name, Email & Phone.
Location does have GST to enter & update in the LOcation Master. Warehouse Location refers as name of State / Province in the country that's why Borg Desk recomends to use GST in the Loaction. You can also use same GST no if multiple locations within a Sate or Province.
Step 4: Set Stock Handling Rules
✔ Define Stock Levels – Set minimum and maximum stock levels for alerts ( This already set in the product master)
✔ Enable Multi-Warehouse Transfers – Allow stock movement between different warehouses.
✔ Assign Users & Roles – Define which employees can manage the warehouse operations.
Step 5: Link Warehouse with Products & Orders
✅ Assign Products – Map specific products to each warehouse. This is done during stock quantity update in Manage Stock IN.
✅ Order Processing – Configure which warehouse will fulfil which order requirement as per availability.
✅ Stock Visibility – Enable real-time stock tracking across all warehouses during order placing.
Step 6: Save & Activate Warehouse
✔ Click "Save & Activate" to enable the warehouse in the system as describe above in step#1 if not yet done.
✔ Once saved, you can track stock movement, assign inventory, and process orders through the selected warehouse.
