Yes, in Borg Desk ERP, when you add a new product under a specific product category, it can be automatically assigned to the same category's price list with the same GST % & Discount %, depending on system settings.

How it Works?

1️⃣ Product Category-Based Price List Configuration:

• If a Price List is already defined for a specific Product Category, any new product added under that category can inherit the same pricing rules, GST %, and Discount %.

2️⃣ GST & Discount Auto-Assignment:

• When a new product is added, the system can automatically apply the predefined GST % & Discount % from the product category’s existing price list.

• This ensures consistency in pricing and tax calculations across all products in that category.

How to Ensure Auto-Addition in the Price List?

✅ Step 1: Navigate to Inventory Module > Manage Price List.
✅ Step 2: Check if a Price List is already linked to the selected category.
✅ Step 3: While adding a new product, ensure it is assigned to the correct Product Category.
✅ Step 4: Verify that the GST % & Discount % are auto-populated as per the category settings.
✅ Step 5: If required, manually update the price or tax settings for specific products.

Important Notes:

✔️ Default Settings Apply – If enabled, new products will automatically inherit GST & Discount values from the category’s price list.
✔️ Manual Overrides Available – You can still modify the price, discount, or tax details for individual products if needed.
✔️ Custom Rules Possible – Admins can configure price list rules for different customer groups, distributors, or sales channels.
